The proctor didn't seem perturbed by the exchange. He smiled, his whole face suddenly seeming kinder, more friendly. "Yes, the two choices were the tenth question."
The pink haired one gasped dramatically, causing Aito to laugh aloud.
Another nin, the sand girl who had spoken earlier, seemed to find the situation less funny. "Hey!! Then what were the first nine questions for?!! they were pointless then."
"No." Ibiki interruptued, still smiling. "They have already served their perpose...That is, to test your information-gathering abilities."
"Information gathering..?" The sand nin asked weakly.
"Agh! how can you be so thick?!" Aito finally said, irritated. "He practically spelled it out for you. He was testing our spying capabilities."

Aito sharply glanced back at her teammate, but settled down.
The proctor nodded. "Yes, the idea was to spy to receive the correct answers. We placed two chunins who knew all the answers into the crowd to help you guys out."
The genins muttered and laughed to each other, recalling their attempts.
Ibiki began to untie hid black headband. "But those who cheat or spy poorly, fail of course."
His head became uncovered, revealing hideous scars from screw and knives, as well as other miscelanious items. The signs of severe torture. "Because... In times when information is more important than a life... both on missions and the battlefield, others will do anything to get their hands on it."
